The bookcase was designed for the same client as the display case, it was the oringinal bespoke piece of furniture designed by Peter Elder Designs. The bookcase was designed to be a floor to ceiling installment. It was manufactured out of prime oak so that it would match the rest of the house. Careful consideration was needed during the design process as space was limited but the idea was to maximise what was there to enable the huge book collection my clients had would fit on the shelves. One key lesson learnt on this project was walls are rarely flat so awareness of the curviture of walls and ceilings will always slightly affect the design.

In the end the final product is a simple but effective design, a truly bespoke piece of furniture made to fit perfectly in the space available!
