The Salt and Pepper Grinders were designed in 2013. Part of the 'Fine Dining' range, the grinders were manufactured out of natural materials to create both functional and desirable products. The Idea was that the Grinders should be simple in form which adds a sense of mystery when they are sat on the dining room table but also function as easily as the best grinders in the business.

The body of the grinders was originally manufactured out of African Blackwood, although alternative materials such as Walnut, Maple and Beech would be available if desired. The stopper is designed so each grinder looks unique with them being hand made out of Banksia nuts which means that no two grinders will ever be identical. The inspiration of making a product which was 'earthy' meant the use of the Banksia nut, a nut found in Australia which is simply plucked from the Banksia tree and left to dry, would mirror the inspiration of spices and earthy colours.

The grinders utilise the CrushGrind® mechanism designed and manufactured by IDEAS Denmark. It is a ceramic grinder which is adjustable so you decide how fine you want to grind the salt, pepper or spices.
