Every great drink, be it a whisky or a glass of wine, needs a good surface to showcase your drink whilst also protecting the table. The idea of these coasters was to use beautiful timbers such as; prime oak, black walnut, birdseye maple to create a simple coaster which is aesthetically pleasing but also serves a function.

Using cork on the base to create a soft base we then layer the selected timber to create the coaster. The coaster is then sanded until they're smooth, oil is applied to them and then allowed to sink in for a few days. The coaster is then branded with the Peter Elder Designs logo and sanded flat and given another coat of oil After a few more days a water resistant laquer is applied so that the coasters wont become damaged if you spill your drink.
