Made from an old oak table the customer wondered if I could use it to make something new which they would be able to use in their house. I noticed the need for a bigger shoe rack and had seen an alcove which would be perfect.

I dismantled the table and started drawing up a design which I liked, I wanted to include a seat for people to use when putting their shoes on. I spoke to the guys at Heatons Upholstery and they agreed to make the cushion which would be used for the top. A simple manufacturing job and the shoe rack was delivered to the customer and fit beautifully into the space.

Personally I love the contrast between the oak and the grey cushion, it really creates an eye catching shoe rack which is the first thing you see when you go into the house.
